December 2015

WVMS hits the stage once again in the Theatre of All Possibilities Assembly, performing the play, Spirit of America.

Theatre of All Possibilities is a highly acclaimed program that gives our students the exciting opportunity to participate with professional actors in a live theater presentation. Materials for the children's roles are sent in advance, and a mini workshop on the performance day integrates them into the production.

History is entertaining! The people and events that shaped our nation are seen from a fresh perspective during this fun and stimulating journey through American history. Great men and women such as Thomas Jefferson, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Martin Luther King are revealed as ordinary people who turned vision into reality. Students are encouraged to pursue their own dreams and through them shape the future of our country and the world. This show brings the past alive to inspire hope for the future. The assembly was a wonderful introduction to American History, and brings to life upper middle school curriculum-perfect for our school.

Twenty-six of our very own WVMS student’s star-on-stage with Theatre of All Possibilities professional actors in an unforgettable and rewarding experience for the whole school! Some of our stars included our very talented Caleb who hit the stage as Christopher Columbus, Tyler as Leif Ericson and our 8th grade student body president Alyssa Jones as a Civil Rights woman’s group leaders. They truly brought history to life on stage.
